Express Entry

What is  Express Entry?

Express Entry is an online system that Canada uses to manage applications for Canadian immigration.

 

This selection system involves the federal government, provincial governments, and Canadian employers.

 

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) uses this system to select candidates corresponding to the following economic immigration programs 

 

Federal Economic Immigration Programs - Canada
Federal Skilled WorkersFor individuals who have at least 1 year of continuous managerial (Skill Level 0), professional (Skill Level A) or technical (Skill Level B) work experience.
Federal Skilled TradesFor individuals who have at least 2 years of  technical work experience (Skill Level B) in skilled industrial trades such as construction, mechanical, electrical, machining, manufacturing, processing, chefs, cooks, butchers and bakers.
Canadian Express ClassA permanent residence category for people with at least one year of skilled work experience (Skill Level 0, A and B) in Canada. 
Provincial Economic Immigration Programs - British Columbia
Skilled WorkerFor individuals who have a job offer (Skill Levels 0, A or B) from a B.C.-based employer and meet the minimum criteria of one of the three above Express Entry programs.
International GraduateFor individuals who have a job offer (Skill Levels 0, A or B) from a B.C.-based employer, have graduated from a Canadian post-secondary institution, and meet the minimum criteria of one of the three above Express Entry programs.
International Post-GraduateFor individuals who have graduated with a master's or doctorate degree in natural, applied or health sciences from a post-secondary institution in British Columbia, and meet the minimum criteria of one of the three above Express Entry programs.

 

Express Entry Process

 

1. Eligibility

Complete our free assessment form and find out if you qualify for an Economic Immigration Program. 

 

You can also visit each program page to view the detailed eligibility criteria.

 

Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) applicants must still meet the minimum eligibility criteria of one of the three federal programs.

 

2. Preparation 

If you are eligible and want to proceed, we will communicate with you and ask you to prepare your documents, such as language test results, to show that you’re eligible for Express Entry.  

 

3. Submit profile

We will then complete your Express Entry profile. 

 

Your application is considered successfully submitted one a confirmation of registration email is received with a corresponding registration number.

 

If your profile application Is successful you will be entered into a pool of candidates.

You will be ranked in the Express Entry pool by a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Your score will be based on the information provided in your profile.

 

Before proceeding to the next phase of the process you must wait to receive a letter of invitation. 

 

4. INVITATION

Based on various selection criteria you may receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residency. If you receive an ITA, you have sixty (60) days in which to complete the application.

 

If you fail to complete the application by the deadline indicated in your ITA or you decline the invitation, your registration will be cancelled and you will need to submit a new application.
