If you are applying as a Skilled Worker you may need to have your trade skills assessed by a Canadian provincial or territorial authority. In Canada most trades are regulated by the individual provinces and territories. Some Red Seal trades have national portability. Certain trades are regulated federally.
In some cases, you may need an employer in Canada to provide you experience and training prior to becoming certified.
